Amanda Correa Bio

Yoga Program Director, Yoga Instructor, E-RYT 500

While obtaining her BFA in Theatre at SMU (Dallas, TX), Amanda began her pursuit of yoga on the mat while studying Eastern and yogic philosophy off of the mat. Amanda has completed two yoga teacher trainings, a 500 hour Vinyasa yoga course in 2009 and a 200 hour Kundalini yoga course in 2011. To date she has attended 160 hours of continuing education courses covering teaching methods ranging from Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Pilates to Gentle yoga, injury prevention, and Pranayama.

Amanda is committed to drawing from her diverse educational background and over 2,000 hours of teaching experience in order to guide each class, emphasizing pranayama (breath work), dharana (concentration), and dhyana (meditation) alongside the asanas (yoga poses). She enjoys incorporating symphonic gong meditations to her classes, played in the style of the Kundalini yoga tradition.

Over the years of practice, study, and teaching, Amanda is grateful for the bounty of gifts given to her by this practice and is awed when hearing the stories of transformation from her students and colleagues.  Amanda is a certified and registered yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT 500.
